Ongoing Road Project
Mumbai Coastal Road
Mhatre Infra played a significant role in the Mumbai Coastal Road Project, contributing to the city’s largest land reclamation initiative since India’s independence. Their involvement included constructing a substantial portion of the 29.2 km stretch, aimed at enhancing connectivity and reducing traffic congestion in Mumbai.
The Mumbai Coastal Road Project is divided into two segments: the southern section from Princess Street flyover to the southern end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, and the northern section from the northern end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link to Kandivali. This eight-lane expressway is expected to drastically reduce travel time and fuel consumption, contributing to a significant decrease in the city’s carbon footprint.
Mhatre Infra’s specific contributions included building parts of the coastal road on reclaimed land, constructing essential infrastructure such as seawalls and pedestrian underpasses, and integrating green public spaces into the project. The project aims to offer a seamless travel experience, alleviating city traffic and promoting sustainable urban development along Mumbai’s coastline.
